The Truth About Cancer: A Global Quest-Episode 2 SynopsisIt’s easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. —Mark Twain
CANCER CONQUEROR: Allison Huish, R.D. Allison Huish was diagnosed with brain cancer at age 13 when doctors discovered a pilocytic astrocytoma—it was a brain stem tumor the size of an egg.
“I walked out of the waiting room about an hour later to see my mom who had just hung up the phone with tears in her eyes, and she told me, ‘Allison, you have a brainstem tumor.’
“I didn’t know quite what that meant. But I knew at that moment that my life would be different from there on out.”
Allison was scheduled for an emergency surgery the next day. Half the tumor was removed, and a radiology appointment was scheduled for follow up treatment.
He recommended conventional treatments.
It was not what I wanted to do and I actually left that appointment and I grabbed my mom’s hand and I told my mom, “Mom, this isn’t for me.” So she said she had also felt the same way.
Unlike in many cases involving pediatric oncology, the Huish family was able to pursue their own treatment options. These options began with intense research into nutrition that would detox the body and support the immune system.
In addition to diet and nutrition, this research familiarized them with the power of essential oils
“There are medical studies showing what essential oils can, and we noticed that they can do incredible things,” said Huish.
In particular the Huishes were drawn toward frankincense, an oil that’s proven effective in treating a number of ailments.
For Allison it not only helped speed up her recovery from surgery and got her back in school, but it actually began shrinking the remaining pieces of tumor. This process took a little longer, but it worked.
I would go see my neurologist, but every time I’d go see him, it just slowly was improving. It wasn’t dramatic or overnight. It was a slow, gradual process. It took about three years,” said Allison. “I remember the point where I went to go see my neurologist and he told me, ‘You have no more tumor. It’s completely disintegrated.’”

DID YOU KNOW?
The Gold, Frankencense and Myrhh brought by the Magi (Wisemen) in the Christmas story actually might have been medicinal oils traditionally used to treat newborn children and their mothers.
A lot of personal care products contain carcinogens and can be replaced with homemade essential oil-based solutions
The feared BRCA gene, sometimes known as the breast cancer gene, is actually a protective gene, not a cause or predictor of cancer. The BRCA genes are cancer protective genes that help to repair DNA damage. If BRCA gene mutates it can cause a problem but what causes it to mutate. Look at the foods you eat.
It takes nearly a decade for breast cancer to grow to a detectable size. The mammography puts 50 pounds of pressure on the breast and can cause things to burst.
Imperial Chemical Industries started breast cancer awareness month in the 1980s. But the ribbon idea originated with Charlotte Haley. She wanted to raise awareness about breast healthy so that women could avoid chemotherapy, radiation and mastectomies. Her Peach Ribbon campaign was overshadowed by the marketing efforts of the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries who now drive much of the awareness efforts in support of conventional treatments—all with the support of the American Cancer Society. They chose a pink ribbon as their emblem when Ms. Haley turned them down.
We can turn cancer-related genetics on and off through detoxing, diet and other healthy choices.
“Cancer is the inappropriate expression of your DNA. Cancer is not an invader. It is something not communicating correctly at a cellular level. So you need to heal not destroy.”
“Women are diagnosed with a cancer they didn’t have, are faced with the psychological stress and stigma, are exposed to radiation therapy, chemotherapy, mastectomy. And then statistically the industry told them that they saved their lives when in fact they more endangered their lives.”
“When you fill a garden with pesticides all you’re going to get back is weeds.”

“Cancer is just the tip of the iceberg revealing that there are so many other underlying things. You have to be sick to get cancer. Your body is already compromised. Your immune system is weak, you’re toxic, you’re stressed out, and that’s how cancer develops. Cancer isn’t just something that gets you. It’s something that develops over a period of time. You’re not a victim of it. You have a lot of control over it.”
“Eventually, medicine will come to terms. Humanity will come to terms with the fact that healing comes from within. That us, the doctors, the clinics, and the medications are the ones that facilitate that process of healing, so it doesn’t belong to us. It belongs to you as a patient. My true role as a practitioner is to empower and facilitate that healing within.”
