Colloidal silver is one of the few alternative medicines that has been able to stick it out throughout our history. Homemade Colloidal Silver
You can make your own homemade colloidal silver without it costing a dime or harming anyone! Colloidal silver can be a huge booster for your immune system, keeping your body defended against viruses and outbreaks. With the outbreaks of Ebola, many people have begun to create their own colloidal silver machines. It is possible to make such a machine without putting a dent in your wallet.
All that’s needed to create the machine is a power source, leads, silver distilled water and a current regulator diode. And of course, containers to hold the silver in.
Your power source should be 3 or 4 9V batteries. Depending on your plan, you may want to think about going with some rechargeable batteries. However, if you intend to only use small amounts, you can probably get by with some cheap disposable ones.
2. Distilled Water
You need to have the cleanest source of water for this project. Most grocery stores sell their distilled water inexpensively, though you can always make your own. You could give a water distiller a try — many people these days have a Berkey water filter, and these are more than efficient to create pure water for your colloidal silver.
When it comes to connecting batteries to silver, you should always go with alligator clips. For our project, you need to have 3 pairs, even if you’ll have to buy 10. The silver, on the other hand, varies greatly. You need to have 2 pieces that are at least 99.9% silver. You can’t use items like sterling silver, or even silver plated, because they contain other materials that are toxic. Finding the best, and most affordable silver will take some comparison shopping, but you can find some fairly cheap ones here.
4. Current Regulator Diode
The current regulator diode is where the project differs from your typical homemade colloidal silver machine. You have to be able to regulate the current flowing between the two silver pieces. Distilled water isn’t particularly conductive, meaning there won’t be much of a current when you first place the silver in the water. With silver’s huge conductivity levels, the current will quickly transfer to the water.
Many think that as the current grows, it strips off larger pieces of silver. Larger particles aren’t as effective when it comes to keeping bacteria and viruses down. It also heightens the risk of contracting Argyria. By using a current regulator diode to make colloidal silver, you can prevent large silver chunks. Choose one that keeps the current at 1 milliamp, though just above or just below is fine as well.
When it comes to containers, you’ll need to have several different ones. You’ll need one for your distilled water, which can be either plastic or glass. The container must be used only for colloidal silver making to prevent getting contaminated. You will need something to store the colloidal silver within. Colloidal silver is light sensitive, so find an amber glass container. Amber prevents wavelengths from affecting the silver. There are many different options for inexpensive amber containers.
Building the Colloidal Silver Machine
Connect the 9 volt batteries together by snapping the positive terminal of one battery to the negative terminal of another. There will one open positive (left) and one open negative (right) terminal left. This is where the alligator clips come in: connect one set of alligator clips to the open terminal.
At the end of the alligator clip attached to the negative, attach the current diode. Snap another alligator clip to the opposite side of the diode. Connect one piece of silver to each lead, placing them in the water. Don’t let them touch, as it can cause them to blow out. Keep other items away from the water, and make sure none of the materials fall into the water.
During your first time, keep a watchful eye over your water. It can take up to several hours for the water to be mixed with the silver particles. The water should develop a light yellow color. Some suggest slipping white paper beneath the container to make it easier to see the color change. When it’s reached this stage, pour it into the amber colored container.
How to Use
The best way to take the colloidal silver is to swish the mixture around in your mouth for 5-10 minutes. You can also use it to sterilize your home, or care for a wound. This technique is safe, simple and affordable. While it’s not the only way, it is one of the best methods to see if it works for you.
